Wildon

Austria

Wildon is a small town in the Austrian state of Styria (Steiermark). It lies in the southern part of the state, roughly midway between the town of Leibnitz and the city of Graz, the Styrian capital.

Situated in the Leibnitz district of southern Styria, Wildon sits in a region known for its rolling hills, vineyards, and mild climate. The town is one of several small communities strung along the corridor connecting Graz with the Slovenian border area to the south.

Wildon is best known for Wildon Castle (Schloss Wildon), a hilltop fortification whose ruins overlook the town and the surrounding Mur valley. The settlement has a long history tied to this strategic elevated site, and the castle remains its most recognizable landmark.
