Nitscha is a former municipality in the district of Weiz, in the Austrian state of Styria. It lies in the eastern part of Styria, within the Weiz district, which forms part of the larger Styria region of southeastern Austria.
Since the 2015 Styria municipal structural reform, Nitscha is no longer an independent municipality and has been part of the municipality of Gleisdorf. The reform merged a number of small municipalities across Styria into larger administrative units, and Nitscha was among those absorbed in this process.
Its status today is therefore that of a locality within Gleisdorf rather than a separate administrative entity, and its governance and local administration fall under the Gleisdorf municipal structure.
