Mönichwald is a former municipality in the district of Hartberg-Fürstenfeld, in the Austrian state of Styria. It lies in the eastern part of Styria, within the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district that was formed by a merger of earlier districts.
Since the 2015 Styria municipal structural reform, Mönichwald is no longer an independent municipality. It has been part of the municipality of Waldbach-Mönichwald, which was created through that reform.
The area is therefore now administered as a cadastral community and former municipality within Waldbach-Mönichwald rather than as a separate political unit.
