Judenburg is a historic town and municipality located in the Styria region of Austria. Situated within Upper Styria in the Murtal region, the town sits along the Mur river and near the Aichfeld basin.
The town serves as the administrative center of the Murtal District. This district was established on January 1, 2012, following the merger of the former Judenburg District and the Knittelfeld District. Prior to December 31, 2011, Judenburg served as the capital of the Judenburg District.
