Hieflau is a former municipality in the district of Leoben in the Austrian state of Styria. Since the 2015 Styria municipal structural reform, it has been part of the municipality of Landl, in the Liezen District.
The settlement lies in the Ennstal Alps of Upper Styria, at the confluence of the Enns and Salza rivers, near the Gesäuse, Austria's only national park in the Alps outside the Hohe Tauern. The area around Hieflau has long been associated with ironworking and forestry, and the village is a stop on the Ennstalbahn railway line.
