Hatzendorf is a former municipality in the district of Südoststeiermark, in the Austrian state of Styria. It lies in the southeastern part of the country, within the region known as Styria.
Since the 2015 Styria municipal structural reform, Hatzendorf has been part of the municipality of Fehring rather than functioning as an independent municipality. The reform reorganized municipal boundaries across Styria, and Hatzendorf's absorption into Fehring was one result of that process.
Its status today is therefore that of a locality within Fehring, in the Südoststeiermark district, rather than a separate administrative unit.
