Baumgarten bei Gnas is a settlement in the Austrian state of Styria. It lies in the district of Südoststeiermark, in the southeastern part of the country, and is part of the municipality of Gnas.
Until 2015, Baumgarten bei Gnas was a municipality in its own right within the district of Südoststeiermark. It lost that status as part of the Styria municipal structural reform of 2015, when it was merged into Gnas along with other surrounding communities.
Since that reform, the locality has been administered as part of Gnas rather than as an independent municipality, and it shares the municipal institutions and services of the larger community. Its identity is therefore tied both to its own history as a former municipality and to its present role as one of the constituent parts of Gnas.
