Straßwalchen is a market town in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung, also known as Flachgau, in the state of Salzburg in Austria. It lies in the federal state of Salzburg, in the country's central-northern region near the border with Upper Austria.
Its administrative status is that of a market town (Marktgemeinde), a designation common among smaller Austrian municipalities. It belongs to the Salzburg-Umgebung district, the same district that surrounds the city of Salzburg.
