Radstadt is a historic town in the district of St. Johann im Pongau, in the Austrian state of Salzburg. It lies in the Pongau region of the eastern Alps, in the heart of Austria.
Radstadt is one of the small number of Austrian towns that still preserve a complete medieval town wall, with towers and gates largely intact. Its historic centre retains its old layout and is a protected heritage area.
The town is also known as a winter sports destination, with ski areas in the surrounding mountains, and it lies on the route between Salzburg and the Enns valley.
