Steinerkirchen an der Traun is a municipality in the district of Wels-Land, in the Austrian state of Upper Austria.
It lies in the Traunviertel region of Upper Austria, in the valley of the Traun river, which gives the community its name. The municipality is made up of a number of small villages and rural settlements rather than a single large town, and its surroundings are predominantly agricultural.
As part of the Wels-Land district, it belongs to the wider administrative and economic area centred on the city of Wels, the district's principal urban centre.
