Prambachkirchen is a town in the district of Eferding, in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It lies in the Hausruckviertel region of the state, within the Eferding Basin area of the country's north-central section.
The municipality is one of several communities that make up the Eferding district, a largely agricultural area of Upper Austria. As a Marktgemeinde, or market town, Prambachkirchen serves as a local administrative and service centre for the surrounding rural settlements.
Like much of Upper Austria, the town sits in a landscape of rolling farmland and small wooded areas, and it is connected to the wider region by the road network linking it to the district capital, Eferding, and to the nearby city of Wels.
