Meggenhofen is a municipality in the district of Grieskirchen, in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It is located in the Hausruckviertel region of the state, roughly in the centre of Upper Austria between the larger towns of Grieskirchen and Vöcklabruck.
The municipality is made up of a number of small villages and hamlets rather than a single built-up town, and its landscape is predominantly rural and agricultural, typical of the rolling hills of the surrounding Innviertel and Hausruck foothills. The parish church of Meggenhofen, dedicated to Saint Nicholas, is one of the oldest structures in the area and serves as a local landmark.
Meggenhofen is connected to the regional road network and lies within commuting distance of the district capital, Grieskirchen. Its economy is based largely on agriculture, small local businesses and residents who work in nearby towns.
