Maria Neustift is a municipality in the district of Steyr-Land, in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It is located in the eastern part of Upper Austria, within the Steyr-Land administrative district, which takes its name from the nearby city of Steyr.
As a municipality, Maria Neustift is one of the constituent local administrative units of the Steyr-Land district, alongside other municipalities in the same district. The district itself forms part of Upper Austria, one of the nine federal states that make up the Republic of Austria.
