Desselbrunn

Austria

Desselbrunn is a municipality in the district of Vöcklabruck, in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It is located in the Hausruckviertel region of the state, roughly midway between the towns of Vöcklabruck and Lambach.

The municipality is made up of a number of small villages and hamlets rather than a single large settlement, with the village of Desselbrunn serving as its administrative centre. The surrounding landscape is rural and gently rolling, typical of the Alpine foothills, and the area is primarily agricultural.

Politically, Desselbrunn is one of 52 municipalities that make up the Vöcklabruck district. Like other Austrian municipalities, it is governed by an elected municipal council and a mayor. Its proximity to Vöcklabruck, the district's administrative and economic centre, links it to the wider Attnang-Puchheim and Salzkammergut area of Upper Austria.
