Stetten

Austria

Stetten is a town in the district of Korneuburg, in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It lies in the northeastern part of the country, within the Weinviertel region north of Vienna, and forms one of the municipalities that make up the Korneuburg district.

Like much of Lower Austria, the area around Stetten is characterized by a landscape of rolling hills and farmland, with a climate that supports agriculture and, in the surrounding Weinviertel, viticulture. The town is connected to the wider region by road and rail links serving the Korneuburg district and the Vienna metropolitan area.

Stetten is one of several Austrian localities bearing the same name, and it should not be confused with the better-known Stetten in other districts or states. Administratively it belongs to Lower Austria, the largest of Austria's nine federal states by area, whose capital is Sankt Pölten.
