Rabensburg

Austria

Rabensburg is a town in the district of Mistelbach, in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It lies in the country's north-east, in the Weinviertel region near the border with the Czech Republic.

The town is one of the smaller municipalities in the district and sits in a landscape shaped by low hills, farmland and woodland. Its position close to the Morava (March) river corridor places it in a border area with a long history of settlement and trade.

Rabensburg is best known for Rabensburg Castle, a historic building that has long been a landmark of the town. The surrounding countryside is used mainly for agriculture, with viticulture also present in the wider Weinviertel area.
