Laab im Walde is a town in the district of Mödling, in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It lies within the Mödling district, one of the administrative districts that make up Lower Austria, the largest state in the country by area.
The town's name refers to the Vienna Woods (Wienerwald), the wooded highland region on the outskirts of Vienna in which it is situated. As with other municipalities in the Mödling district, Laab im Walde is part of the broader suburban belt south and west of the Austrian capital.
