Hürm is a town in the district of Melk, in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It lies in the western part of Lower Austria, a region known as the Mostviertel, roughly midway between the towns of Melk to the north and St. Pölten to the east.
The settlement is a small market town typical of the rural communities of the Melk district, an area shaped by agriculture and by the Danube valley to its north. The surrounding landscape consists of rolling hills and farmland, with the foothills of the Alps rising farther to the south.
Hürm is administered as a single municipality within the Melk district and is connected to the wider region by road. Its position places it within easy reach of the Wachau, the Danube valley between Melk and Krems that is noted for its terraced vineyards and historic towns.
