Hausleiten

Austria

Hausleiten is a town in the district of Korneuburg, in the state of Lower Austria, Austria. It lies in the northeastern part of the country, within the Weinviertel region north of the Danube and roughly northwest of Vienna, the national capital. Korneuburg, the district's administrative centre, is nearby to the south.

The town is a market municipality (Marktgemeinde) made up of several small settlements and rural cadastral communities rather than a single dense urban core. Its surroundings are characterised by open agricultural land and low, gently rolling hills typical of the Weinviertel, with vineyards and farmland forming much of the local landscape.

Hausleiten is connected to the wider region by road and by the railway line running through the area, giving it links toward Korneuburg and Vienna. As in much of Lower Austria, the town's historic centre includes a parish church and other buildings reflecting its long-standing role as a local market and administrative centre for the surrounding villages.
