Gutenstein is a market town in the district of Wiener Neustadt-Land, in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It lies in the eastern part of the country, within the federal province that surrounds Vienna.
As a market town (Marktgemeinde), Gutenstein holds a status in Austrian municipal organisation that is granted to larger or historically significant communities. It is one of the municipalities that make up the Wiener Neustadt-Land district.
