Glinzendorf is a town in the district of Gänserndorf, in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It lies in the northeastern part of the country, within the Weinviertel region, an area historically shaped by agriculture and small market towns.
The settlement is administratively part of the Gänserndorf district, whose seat is the town of Gänserndorf. Like many communities in this part of Lower Austria, Glinzendorf is a small, rural municipality rather than a large urban centre.
Its position in the flat, fertile lowlands north-east of Vienna places it within the wider metropolitan and commuting sphere of the Austrian capital, while remaining a distinct village community in its own right.
