Buchbach

Austria

Buchbach is a village in the district of Neunkirchen, in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It is a small settlement within this district, which lies in the eastern part of Austria.

The village is located in Lower Austria, the largest of Austria's nine states by area, which surrounds the national capital, Vienna, and borders the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the north and east. The Neunkirchen district is situated in the southeastern portion of the state, in the industrial and alpine foothill region south of Vienna.

Buchbach is one of numerous small villages that make up the district of Neunkirchen, a largely rural and semi-mountainous area. As a village rather than a larger town or city, it is characterised by its small scale and its setting within the Lower Austrian countryside.
