Seeboden am Millstätter See is a market town in the district of Spittal an der Drau, in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It lies in the south of the country, near the border with Italy and Slovenia.
The town is situated on the shore of the Millstätter See, a lake in the Carinthian Alps. Its name reflects this location, with "See" meaning lake and "Boden" referring to the ground or shore. The surrounding area is mountainous, and the lake is a defining feature of the town's geography and local economy.
As a market town (Marktgemeinde), Seeboden holds a status in Austrian administrative structure that grants it certain rights, including the holding of regular markets. It is one of several municipalities in the Spittal an der Drau District, a region known for its Alpine landscapes and lakes.
