Maria Wörth is a municipality in the district of Klagenfurt-Land, in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It lies on the southern shore of the Wörthersee, and its centre sits on a peninsula extending into the lake. In the east, the municipal area borders Klagenfurt, the Carinthian capital.
The municipality is divided into two Katastralgemeinden (cadastral communities), Maria Wörth and Reifnitz. It is known as a resort town, its lakeside setting on the Wörthersee forming the basis of its role as a holiday destination.
