Eltendorf is a town in the district of Jennersdorf, in the Austrian state of Burgenland. It lies in Austria's easternmost province, a region that borders Hungary to the east and Slovenia to the south.
The municipality belongs to the Jennersdorf district, the southernmost of Burgenland's districts, an area known for its rolling hills and rural character along the Raab river valley. Like much of southern Burgenland, the surrounding countryside is agricultural, with a landscape shaped by small villages and farmland.
Eltendorf is one of several small communities that make up this part of Austria, where the population is predominantly German-speaking and the area reflects the cultural mix typical of the Austrian-Hungarian border region.
