Crespo

Argentina

Crespo is a city in the Argentine province of Entre Ríos, located about 40 km from the provincial capital, Paraná. It has roughly 19,500 inhabitants.

Most of the population is descended from Volga Germans who migrated from Russia to Argentina beginning in 1875. This German heritage is reflected in the town's annual beer festival, which is based on Oktoberfest but held in January.

The local economy is centered on aviculture and other agricultural products.
