Tambala is a city located in Zambia.
While "tambala" is also the name of the subunit of the Malawian kwacha, it serves as a distinct geographical location within Zambian borders. The currency unit known as the tambala represents one-hundredth of a kwacha and was introduced in Malawi in 1971 to replace the Malawian pound.
