Nakonde is a town situated in the Muchinga Province of Zambia. Located on the border with Tanzania, it serves as the northern terminus of Zambia's Great North Road.
The town functions as the principal commercial and political headquarters for Nakonde District. It also serves as the designated district headquarters.
