Kitwe is a city located in Zambia. It ranks as the second largest city in the country by size and population, while being the third largest in terms of infrastructure development.
As of the 2022 census, Kitwe has a population of 661,901. The city is recognized as one of Zambia's most developed commercial and industrial areas, alongside the cities of Ndola and Lusaka. A complex of mines is situated on the north-western and western edges of the city.
