Chingola is a town located in Zambia's Copperbelt Province. It serves as a significant hub within the country's primary copper-mining region and has a population of 256,560.
The town is notably home to the Nchanga Copper Mine, which is characterized as a deep-shaft high-grade content copper mining operation. This site led to the subsequent development of two open pit operations: the Chingola Open Pit and the Nchanga Open Pit.
