Namwala

Namwala is a town located in the Southern Province of Zambia. Situated on the southern bank of the Kafue River at an elevation of 996 metres above sea level, it serves as the seat of Namwala District and lies along the M11 road.

The town has a population exceeding 5,000 people and houses the administrative offices for the district. It is also recognized as the principal town of the Ila people, who are the primary inhabitants of the region.
