Kalomo

Zambia

Kalomo is a town located in southern Zambia. It sits approximately 125 km northeast of Livingstone along the main road (T1) and the railway line that connects to Lusaka.

The town serves as the capital of the Kalomo District and is home to the Batonga people. Historically, it was the first administrative centre of Northern Rhodesia, a role it held until the capital city was established in Livingstone in 1907. The Administrator's House from that period still survives today.
