Kasempa is a town situated in the Kasempa District within Zambia's North-Western Province. It is positioned approximately 550 kilometres (340 mi) by road northwest of Lusaka, the national capital.
The town is geographically defined by its location on the western bank of the Lufupa River. The river flows southward from this area into the Kafue National Park.
