Kapiri Mposhi

Kapiri Mposhi is a town located in the Central Province of Zambia. It serves as the administrative seat of the Kapiri Mposhi District and is situated north of the capital city, Lusaka.

The town is positioned along the Great North Road and holds historical significance as a major railway junction. Since 1976, it has served as the connection point between the Zambia Railways line running from Kitwe to Lusaka and the western terminus of the Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority line originating in Dar es Salaam.
