Lukulu

Zambia

Lukulu is a market town located in the Western Province of Zambia. Situated along the banks of the Zambezi River, it serves as the headquarters for the Lukulu District.

The town is accessible via a limited number of graded roads that facilitate traffic between Kaoma and Watopa. The local economy and diet are heavily influenced by the river, where fish provide the primary source of food for residents and are also exported to other regions within Zambia.

Lukulu is characterized by its waterfront along the Zambezi River, which features sandy beaches. These natural features contribute to the town's distinct geographic profile in the province.
