Kaoma

Kaoma is a city located in Zambia.

The name also refers to a French–Brazilian musical group formed in 1989. The band was responsible for successfully launching the lambada musical style throughout Europe during a decade-long period between 1989 and their disbandment in 1999.

During its active years, Kaoma released three albums. Their most notable success was the 1989 song "Lambada," which reached the top of the charts in numerous countries.
