Witsand is a small coastal town situated in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is geographically positioned at the mouth of the Breede River estuary.
The town is frequently recognized as the Whale Nursery of South Africa due to its local marine life. Between the months of June and November, the area attracts a significant number of southern right whales annually.
