Piketberg is a town situated in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is located approximately 80 km east of Saldanha Bay and sits within the foothills of the Piketberg mountains.
The local geography is characterized by these low mountains, which were formed from Table Mountain Sandstone. Historically, the name of the town was originally spelled as Piquetberg.
