Ga-Rankuwa is a large settlement located in South Africa's Gauteng province. It is situated approximately 37 km north-west of Pretoria.
The area has undergone various administrative changes over time. During the apartheid era, Ga-Rankuwa fell within Bophuthatswana, and it remained under the jurisdiction of the North West province until the early 2000s.
