Sabie is a forestry town located in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. It is situated on the banks of the Sabie River.
The name of the town is derived from the Xitsonga word "Sava," which translates to "Sand" due to the abundance of sand in the region. The term was subsequently adapted by Afrikaner settlers, who changed it into the Afrikaans "Sabie."
