Westonaria is a town located in the western region of Gauteng province, South Africa. It is situated within the Rand West City Local Municipality, which forms part of the larger West Rand District Municipality.
The town is positioned approximately 45 km west of Johannesburg and 18 km south of Randfontein. During the apartheid era, African residents lived outside of the town in the area of Bekkersdal.
