Evaton is a township located in the Emfuleni Local Municipality of Gauteng province, South Africa. Situated north of Sebokeng, the area is divided into three distinct sections: Evaton Central, Evaton West, and Evaton North.
The township was established in 1904. Historically, it was impacted by violent unrest that began in 1984, leading to the imposition of a state of emergency by 1985.
