Bronkhorstspruit is a town located in the Gauteng province of South Africa. It is situated approximately 50 km east of Pretoria along the N4 highway, which serves as a route toward eMalahleni.
The area includes three townships known as Zithobeni, Rethabiseng, and Ekangala. Administratively, Bronkhorstspruit became part of the Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality on 18 May 2011, following the takeover of municipal administration from the abolished Kungwini Local Municipality.
