Port Alfred is a small town located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. It has a population of just under 26,000 residents and is situated on the country's eastern seaboard at the mouth of the Kowie River.
The town is positioned almost exactly halfway between the larger cities of Port Elizabeth and East London. It is located approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Cannon Rocks.
