Mount Frere, officially known as KwaBhaca, is a town located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. It was formerly situated within the Transkei region and currently lies along the N2 road, positioned approximately 100 kilometers northeast of Mthatha between Kokstad and Mthatha.
The town is administered by the Umzimvubu Municipality. Within its jurisdiction, the surrounding villages are governed by a Tribal chief who manages intermediary borders.
