Ulundi, also known as Mahlabathini, is a town located in the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Ulundi Local Municipality within the Zululand District Municipality. The town has an estimated population of 31,185 for the year 2025, reflecting a 1.16% annual growth rate from its 2001 population of 23,649.

Historically, Ulundi served as the capital of the Zulu Kingdom and later became the capital of the Bantustan of KwaZulu. Modern landmarks and amenities in the town include Ulundi Airport, a three-star hotel, and various museums.
