Tugela Ferry

South Africa

Tugela Ferry is a town located on the northern bank of the Tugela River in the central KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. It currently falls under the jurisdiction of the Umzinyathi District Municipality.

The town's name serves as a commemoration of a ferry that previously operated at this location before the construction of a steel bridge. During the apartheid era, the area was part of the KwaZulu homeland.
