Pinetown is a city located in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It forms part of the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality and is situated just inland from the coastal city of Durban.
Geographically, Pinetown is positioned approximately 16 km north-west of Durban and 64 km south-east of Pietermaritzburg.
