Koungou is a commune located in the French overseas department of Mayotte, situated in the Indian Ocean. It serves as the second largest commune in the territory, following the capital city of Mamoudzou.
The commune is composed of six distinct villages: Majicavo Lamir, Majicavo Koropa, Koungou, Trévani, Kangani, and Longoni.
