Ibb is a city located in Yemen and serves as the capital of the Ibb Governorate. It is situated on a mountain ridge surrounded by fertile land and is positioned approximately 194 km (121 mi) south of Sanaa and 117 km (73 mi) northeast of Mokha.
The city developed as an administrative center and market town during the Ottoman Empire. It is considered one of the most important medium-sized cities in Yemen and is also known by the name "The Land of Green." As of 2023, Ibb has an estimated population of 771,500 residents.
